Caroline Kruse, age 91, of Lone Rock, passed away on December 18, 2019 at the Algona Good Samaritan Care Center. Caroline Lydia Harms, the daughter of John and Katie (Hoodjer) Harms, was born on April 5, 1928 in Wellsburg, IA. She graduated from Elementary School in Clarion. On July 14, 1949 Caroline was united in marriage with Willie Kruse in Wellsburg, Iowa. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lotts Creek and a 40 year member of the Lone Rock Ladies Auxiliary. Caroline raised a flock of 500 Turkeys in the 1950’s & 60’s. She worked in the fall sorting seed corn for Pioneer for many years. Caroline enjoyed going to the Kossuth County Fair during the time all of her children were in 4-H. She loved her pets and enjoyed making quilts and giving most of them away. She is survived by her children, Linda (Gary) Huber of Burt, Butch (Lavon) Kruse of Lone Rock and Darin Kruse of Lone Rock; twelve grandchildren: Lynn Huber, Lee (Brenda) Huber, Calvin Kruse, Trevor Kruse, Cory Kruse, Christina (Keith) Vaske, Jennifer (Marc) Chaplin, Heather Cochran and Donnie Cochran; nine great grandchildren: Luke, Faith Huber, Gillian, Kayla, Natasha, Kylie, Kinsey, Kayden and Makenna; brothers, Gene (Shirley) Harms of Baraboo, WI, Wendell (Bobbie) Harms of Anahiem, CA and Roger (Diana) Harms of Bella Vista, AR; and a sister, Sharon Aalfs of Coulter. Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie in 2017; brothers, Duane Harms and John Harms; and sisters, Deloris Cunningham and Imogene Furman.
