Caroline J. Healey, fondly known as “Carol”, 83, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday morning, March 6, 2021 at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Caroline J. Podgorski on December 1, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Richard. On February 9, 1963, Carol and Richard were married and began their lives together in Jersey City. A few years later in 1967, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family. Before her retirement, Carol worked as the Executive Secretary for the Principal of Raritan High School. She was also a devout communicant of St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Mary (Wiwatowski) Podgorski. Carol is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 58 years, Richard Healey, her loving children, Andrea Healey of Hazlet, and Richard Healey Jr. of Hazlet, her dear sister, Barbara Podgorski, and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Carol will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
