Caroline Frances Baum was born July 30, 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona, as the first child, to Max and Beulah Baum.

She spent her childhood in the Henderson Nevada area and loved finding mischief in the desert but fell in love with Colorado and its mountains and felt it was her home.

Caroline graduated from Basic High School and one of her proudest moments was singing the Lord’s Prayer at her graduation.

During her marriage to Les Dossigny, her three daughters, Kathleen, Bess and Judith were born.  While she had many jobs in her life, being a mother was the one she was most proud of and brought her the most joy.

Caroline loved a good joke, especially one she could pass on.  She loved to tell a story and listen to the stories of others lives.

Caroline was strong willed and a multifaceted woman.  She loved to sing and play music.  She played the accordion, piano and guitar.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, playing games with family, dancing, and reading a good book.  She adored birds and cats.  She could aways fix something she put her mind to from a car to a water heater.  Later in life she developed a passion for making glass beaded jewelry which she would give to others from her heart.

Caroline is survived by her children, Kathleen (Damon) Threet, Bess (Royce) Waxenfelter, Judith (Dave) Slade and grandson, Reilly. She is also survived by her sister, Willa (Robert) Baum and her children.  She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.

We would like to thank the staff of Larchwood Inns and the staff Hope West Hospice of Grand Junction, CO for their compassionate care of Caroline over the last several years.
