Carolina Lucero Rodriguez 89, a lifetime resident of Grant County passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Ft. Bayard Medical Center.
She was born on April 20, 1924 in Columbus, NM to Jesus and Felicita (Lara) Lucero. She was a resident at Ft. Bayard Medical Center for 12 years. She loved spending time with her family, crocheting, watching western movies and gardening. She made the best tortillas. She will truly be missed.
She is survived by her son Susano Rodriquez Jr. (Ruth) from Hurley and her daughter Anna Bridget Ochoa from El Paso; grandchildren Melanie, John, Eugene, Javiar, Erika and Steven; great-grandchildren Violet, Alex, Christina, Krystel, Angelina and Robert III. Also surviving her are her sisters Rosa Ramirez (Manuel) from Santa Clara, and Mary L. Torrez from Las Cruces.
Preceding her in death are her parents, sisters Vencelo Nunez and Rita Martinez; brothers Jesus Lucero Jr. and Nicolas Lucero.
