Carole Riordan Moran, 86, of Linthicum, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Carole was born on September 3, 1933, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Dorothy and John Riordan, Jr. She graduated from Western High School, an all-girls school at the time, and attended Westhampton College, University of Richmond. She went on to work as a Librarian for the Main Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, and then married the love of her life, Stephen Moran on June 26, 1955. Carole was a very “involved Mom” with her children and grandchildren. She never hesitated to spend her time taking excursions, making holidays and birthdays a memorable celebration and making even the ordinary days special. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering at H.O.P.E., and baking her signature sugar cookies. Carole always remembered everyone’s special days with cards and frequently dropped them notes “just because.”
Carole was predeceased by her devoted husband, Stephen L. Moran. She is the loving “Mumsey” to her children, Laura (Jerry) Schisler, John (Michaelle) Moran, Timothy (Maura) Moran, and Jennifer Moran; the cherished “Grandmumsey” to Lawrence Lewis, James Lewis, Andrew Moran, Deanna Pasciak, Jamie Moran, Becca Moran, and Patrick Moran; Beloved “Great-Grandmumsey” to Catherine and Caroline Lewis, and Noah and Elijah Moran. She is also be mourned and remembered by many dear friends, and her beloved cat, Lola.
