Carole Fournier, age 77, of Norwalk, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Notre Dame Convalescent Home after a long illness. She was the wife of 53 years to the late David R. Fournier, Jr. Born in Norwalk on May 19, 1934, Carole was the daughter of the late John V. and Ida Wood Toothill and has lived in Norwalk all of her life. She was a graduate of Norwalk High School, Class of 1952. Carole loved her life as a home maker and was locally famous for her cupcakes. She was a devoted mom and grandmother and loved animals and dining out. She also assisted her husband when he was involved with the C.C.A.A.
Carole is survived by her son, David R. Fournier III and his wife Kyle of Fairfield, her daughter Diane LeBlanc and her husband Norman of Norwalk, 5 grandchildren; Courtney Stefanowicz, David R. Fournier, IV, and Jay, Leanne and Holly LeBlanc, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother John “Jack” Toothill.
