It is with heavy hearts; the Grand family of Centreville/Manassas Park, Virginia announce the passing of Carole Ann (Metz) Grand at the age of 82. Mother to five sons, Warren, Mark, Stewart, Marty, and Jeff. Grandmother to nine grandchildren and Great-Grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of what can be achieved with hard work and devotion to family. Carole was one of four daughters of Edwin and Ellen Metz of Lawrenceburg Indiana. Having graduated from Indiana University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminology and Psychology, She worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer and Intake Supervisor for Prince William County until her retirement. Carole raised her children to always respect others and never give up no matter how difficult life can be. She had a great sense of humor and calmness about her that always put people around her at ease. Her laughter, warmth, and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew her, she defined the term “Mother” and will live forever in our hearts.
