Carolann Kanarkowski (Miller), 70, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School and was a student at St. Peter’s College. She lived in West Germany for two years with her husband Edward J. Kanarkowski, who was a commissioned officer in the US Army, and, later, they lived in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, before moving to Toms River in 1978.
Carolann was a dedicated parishioner of St Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toms River, NJ, as well as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Throughout her life, she enjoyed needlepoint, cooking, baking, and sewing. She was a Girl Scout and parent association leader, taught CCD, was an avid photographer, and enjoyed visiting historic places, such as Gettysburg and Mount Vernon, with her grandchildren. She admired the high style and elegance of First Lady Melania Trump, enjoyed watching golfer Tiger Woods in championship play, and, in her later years, was an enthusiastic viewer of the Hallmark Channel. Carolann was an organ donor who shared her gift of life with other individuals in dire need or organ transplants.
She is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Eleanor (Michalski) Miller. Carolann will be forever missed by her husband of 52 years Edward J. Kanarkowski, her daughter Karen and her husband Michael Husenica of Toms River, NJ, son Casey M. Kanarkowski of Toms River, NJ, and three grandchildren: Addison, Avery, and Clark.
