Carol Juanita Van Dusseldorp was born on April 14, 1921 to Henry and Dora (Van Vark) Carson. She grew up in Pella, Iowa, where she lived most of her life. She received her education in the Pella Public Schools and graduated from Pella High School.
She was employed at the Pella Rolscreen Company, now Pella Corporation, during the war and again in the 1950’s. She also worked as a dispatcher for the Pella Police Department and as a hostess at the Holland House restaurant.
Carol was currently a resident at the Griffins Nursing Home in Knoxville, Iowa, where she passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009, at the age of eighty-eight years.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her son, Michael Courtney of Pella; her brother, George Carson of Pella; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Don and Mary Vande Noord, Peggy Vande Noord, Steve Carson, and Mary Carson; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Bertha Vande Noord; and her husband, Bert Van Dusseldorp.
Carol will always be remembered for the many memories she created in her lifetime and will be missed by her family and friends.
