Carol Rene (Lawrence) Koons, 62, of Anderson, left all who loved her to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 14, 2016. She was born on June 2, 1953, in Anderson, where she resided most of her life. While she was with us, all who loved her were aware of her goodness and her wonderful heart. Carol was always willing to comfort those around her with a smile and a tender hand –a person with a very large soul. Each day of her life, as well as her battle with cancer, was faced with strength, courage, and her ever-present grace.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Jim Koons; mother, Mary Frances Lawrence; son, Chris Case, wife Della, of Smithville, MO; grandson, Boyd Case; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Case; brother, Larry Lawrence, wife Dianne; niece, Cindy Evans, husband Gary; great-nephews, Micah and Caleb Evans; nephew, Jeff Lawrence, with Desiree Monsivaiz and her son, Xander Monsivaiz.
Also, surviving are her sister-in-law, Verna Lawrence; niece, Jaima Lawrence; nephew, Shawn Lawrence, with Jessica Mitchel; great-niece, Allyson Lawrence; brother, Dan Lawrence, wife Marcia; nephew, Jason Lawrence, wife Leslie, great-nephews, Addison and Bradley Lawrence, and nephew, Ryan Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph E. Lawrence, and her brother, Barry Lawrence.
