Carol G Mulford (nee Hegmann), beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home on January 8, 2016 in Prescott, AZ at the age of 68.
Carol was welcomed into the world on August 19, 1947 to her parents Bill and Vonda Hegmann in Charleston, WV. She graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1965. While attending Morris Harvey College she met her future husband, the late Frank B Mulford. After marriage, she briefly resided in Willingboro, NJ where she gave birth to her only child, Shawn Mulford. Shortly thereafter she found her true home in Dallas, TX.
She enjoyed a successful management career in telecommunications while working at C&P Telephone, NJ Bell Telephone & Southwestern Bell. She retired from Telecommunications and relocated to Scottsdale, AZ in 1990 to be closer to her family. In the greater-Phoenix area, she worked as a Team Leader for American Express until her retirement in 2010. Following her retirement, she eventually relocated to Prescott, AZ, which she thoroughly enjoyed with her pet dogs during the remaining years of her life.
She is survived by her mother, Vonda Hegmann of Scottsdale, AZ, and predeceased by her father Bill Hegmann. Carol is also survived by her son, Shawn Mulford and wife Andrea of Media, PA, and grandchildren Kaelyn and Maxwell. Surviving beloved siblings are twin sister Cheryl Smallsreed and husband Lee of Prescott, AZ, Bill Hegmann and wife Judy of Texarkana, AR, and David Hegmann of Texarkana, AR. She also had many beloved nieces and nephews, Christian Smallsreed (recently deceased), Scott Smallsreed, Shawna Loomis, Macy Bobo, Todd Hegmann, Philip Hegmann, Holly Ornelas.
