Carol Virginia Naile Marcum,also known by her Native American name “Little Fawn Sleeping, 77, passed away Sun. June 24, 2012 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Marcum is survived by her four children, Jean Martin Willis (Randy) of Brandon, MS, David L. Martin of Memphis, TN, Terry M. Martin (Pam) of Durant, MS and Stephen M. Martin of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Bobbie Adams (Joe) of Kenansville, FL and Melva Mitchell of Cordova, TN; five grandchildren, Kelly Simpson (John) of Star, MS, Adam P. Grimes of Florence, MS, Erin Grimes of Flowood, MS, Rachel Martin of Kosciusko, MS and Blake Martin of Durant, MS; twelve great-grandchildren, Bailey Pitts, Bailey Simpson, Jackson Simpson, Deuce Simpson, Jude Simpson, Conner Grimes, Aiden Grimes, Molly Grimes, Bentley Grimes,Uri Squires, Kolby Martin and Chloe Martin.
Mrs. Marcum is preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin “Pete” Marcum; two children, Teresa Martin and Keith Martin; her father, L.T. Naile and her mother, Vancie Naile all of Memphis, TN.
