Carol Lee Kimble Clarkson, 75, of Grafton passed away July 27, 2011 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV with her children and grandchildren at her side. She was born January 9, 1936, in Grafton, WV, to the late Lyle Vance Kimble, and Helen Lynette (Ellers) Kimble, and sister of the late Barbara Josephine Kimble Clarkson. Carol was a 1953 graduate of Grafton High School. She graduated from St. Joseph LPN School of Nursing and her career spanned 25 years at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV. She and her late husband Victor (Vic/Junior) Clarkson raised three children, daughters Pamela (Byron Christopher) Lusher, Beth (David) Moore, and son Dan (the late Susan Lolita Baltazar) Clarkson in Ravenswood. She has been blessed with seven grandchildren: Joseph Clarkson (Megan), Cody Moore (Delilah), Jeramiah Clarkson (Melissa), Jonathan Clarkson (Rebecca), Haley Moore, and Zack and Carlee Lusher; two great grandchildren, Titan and Bella, and Laila who is on the way. Other “grandchildren” include Dr. Tomi Sampson, Ricky Williams, and Cody Dillon; and a myriad of very close nieces and nephews. Carol’s favorite pastimes were spending time with her Earthly An gels, including her surrogate sister Alice Boyce, attending Wesley Chapel, where she attended during her childhood and was married on October 10, 1954, and bragging about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all her family, church family, and Facebook and email friends.
