Carol Joyce (Webber) Lauterbach was born on January 28, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan; to the late John and Emma (Witt) Webber. Carol was the youngest child and only daughter born to “Jack” and Emma.

Carol made her heavenly transition on January 15, 2021, in the loving care of Rose Arbor Hospice of Kalamazoo. Carol leaves behind a legacy as a fervent follower of Christ.

Carol graduated from Redford (Michigan) High School in January of 1950. After graduation, she attended dental school and was a dental assistant for many years. After that, she became a pastor’s wife of 24 years. Before retiring, she worked as a hospice caregiver, caring for the elderly.

She was also a homemaker devoting herself to her children, who survive her: William E. (Ula) Lauterbach, Jr., Lynda (the late Jimmy) Hunter and Kristi (Edward) Fitts. Also surviving are grandchildren Jason (Jenny) Lauterbach, Travis (Nichole) Lauterbach, Jeffrey (Emily) Lauterbach, Joshua Lauterbach and Matthew Lauterbach; Jeremiah Hunter and Jessica Hunter; Chelsea Lehmann and Harrison Fitts. Also, surviving Carol are three great-grandchildren. Carol is also survived by the oldest brother; John Webber.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Webber.

Carol was a witty, vibrant soul who always helped people in need and always had an optimistic attitude. Anyone that knew her knows that she had a passion for people, jewelry, and especially her collection of angels!
