Carol Joyce Brady, daughter of the late James and Blanche Gassaway, was born on October 20, 1941, in Silver Spring, MD. She was the youngest of 18 children.
Carol moved to the District of Columbia, at the age of 11, and attended Francis Junior High School and Theodore Roosevelt Senior High School in the District of Columbia.
Carol attended both Mount Zion Church in Silver Spring, MD, and Van Buren United Methodist Church in Washington, DC, where she was a church stewardess and a member of the Van Buren Worship Committee.
In her free time, Carol enjoyed a variety of activities such as talking to friends and family, cooking, reading books, playing crossword puzzles, watching political programs and legal programs such as Judge Judy.
Carol is survived by her two daughters. Patrice and Janene Johnson and their father Billy; two sisters: Katherine and Geneva Gassaway; three sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
