Carol Jean Heckmaster of Denver, Colorado was born December 20, 1935. She passed away June 20, 2019. Raised in Menasha, Wisconsin, she is daughter to George and Gertrude Stelow, and sister to Gwen Jelinski.
Moving to Colorado in 1960, Carol met and married Charles “Chuck/Charlie” and had four children: Troy (Tina), Terry (Theresa), Toni (Sean) and Trent. She is a loving Grandmother to Jackie, Aaron, Cydney, Taylor, Andria, Bryan, Tom, and Raegan.
Strong and supportive, she is honored for the numerous roles and activities she fulfilled in caring for the home and raising her family. Chuck and Carol’s love for the Denver Broncos has been passed down 2 generations and brought many family memories since purchasing season tickets in 1969. She also participated in a 9-Hole Ladies Group at the country club where she and Chuck were members, and bowled with the ladies during the winter months.
Other favorite past times included attending Catholic Mass, bubble baths, watching the Hallmark Channel, reading a good book, sewing and catching up with friends and family on the phone or around her kitchen table with a cup of coffee. Carol was happiest when her home was filled with the people she loved.
