She was born on April 22, 1950, to the late Laird Landis and Odessa Louise (Padgett) Landis. Carol was raised by her guardianship parents, Lloyd Locke and Ruth (Padgett) Locke.
Carol loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and her pets. She enjoyed going to auctions and antique shopping. She loved rides on the motorcycle.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, James Hamilton; her parents; guardianship parents; her brother, Larry Landis; her sister, Patty Cauble; and her son-in-law, David Johnson.
Carol is survived by her children, Laura Johnson of Bargersville, William (Staci) Henry of Indianapolis, James (Priscilla) Hamilton Jr. of Indianapolis; her siblings, Karen (Dan) Williams of Lebanon, Jim (Becky) Locke of Indianapolis; her grandchildren, David (Sandra) Johnson Jr., Brandon (Haylee) Johnson, Kyle Henry, Krista Henry, Makenzie Belding, Madison Henry, Aaron (Jake) Hamilton Elliot, and Caleb Hamilton; Great grandchildren, Carter Hamilton, Maverick Johnson, and Coraline Johnson.
