Carol Jean (Campbell) Hayter (also known as “Mammo” to her family and close friends) passed away on December 10, 2015 at her home in Bakersfield, California. Carol was born on October 14, 1930 in Casper, Wyoming. After graduating from Sheridan High School, Carol moved to Taft, California and was shortly thereafter employed at the Auto Club of Southern California. It was in Taft that she met the love of her life, Cliff Hayter They were married in 1950 and for the next 25 years she and Cliff owned and operated Hayter Trucking. In 1980 they sold the business and retired in Arroyo Grande, CA. After Cliff passed away in 1993, Carol moved to Bakersfield to be with her family until her passing. Carol enjoyed cooking, entertaining, shopping and traveling with Cliff and her friends.
