Carol (Kettman) Janko, 90, of Peru, passed away, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital.
Mrs. Janko was born October 4, 1928 in Streator to John and Mary (Coleman) Kettman. She attended St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a private duty nurse at St. Margaret’s Hospital. She married Richard F. “Dick” Janko on September 2, 1950 at St. Anthony’s Church, Streator. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Peru. Carol was a kind hearted person who liked to give away her baked goods and find a good bargain. Most of all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Richard of Peru; her children, Michael (Patricia) Janko of Downers Grove, Gary (Susan) Janko of Lake Forest, Mark (Leigh Ann) Janko of Peru and Lori (William) Janko Wilke of Peru; 10 grandchildren, Michelle Janko Meade, Kristen Janko Ritchey, Matthew Janko, Katherine Janko Whitfield, Amy Janko Gahan, Jennifer Janko Andriano, Laura Janko Santillanes, Michael Murphy Janko, Mason Janko Wilke and Emma Marie Wilke; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and one brother, Ronald (Marilyn) Kettman of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Shirley Rieck and Juanita Perry and two brothers, Arnold Kettman and Thomas Kettman.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
