Carol Janet Yelvington, 69, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014, of heart failure. Carol was born July 22, 1945, in Springville, Alabama and has lived most of her life in Lakeland. Carol was a retired school bus driver for the Polk County School District.
She is survived by her sons, Allen and Brian Yelvington; daughters, Sheri Nicholson and Janet Connell; numerous brothers and sisters and four grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Sailboat” Yelvington and is now joining him in heaven.
