Carol J. Van Den Bos peacefully passed into glory at home with family around her on Tuesday evening, October 9th. Carol was best known in Boulder County as owner of Paul’s Antiques in Longmont, a downtown store on Main Street which she expanded over the years from a single building into many buildings and a parking lot. People used to come from all parts of the country to shop and browse for hours at antiques and collectables of sundry kinds. The Boulder Dinner Theater regularly found props to borrow from this unusual store. Some of her merchandise was bought and used in making movies.

Carol was born April 22, 1932 in Louisville, Colorado to Newton and Minnie Rockley. She married Donald Van Den Bos of Lafayette, Colorado as a young girl. While living in Lafayette they had four children: Allan (of Brighton, CO), Kristy (of Brighton, CO); Ann (of Chandler, AZ); and Paul of (Lynchburg, VA). Carol is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and by six great grandchildren.
