Carol Jones, 74, of Libby, Montana passed away at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center on May 22, 2016 after many years of battling cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, 25 years, to the day. Carol was born May 31, 1941 in Spokane, Washington where she grew up and later met her husband Richard Jones, a career military man. She then followed him throughout his career of 30 years in the Army.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Jones; father William; mother Ruth; and sister Jeanie Piper. She is survived by her three children Timothy, Jonelle, and Brian Jones; 6 grandchildren Steven, Jimmy, Richard, John, Sarah and Sheldon; and several great grandchildren.
Carol was very big on family. She would always have a place at the dinner table for anyone, at any time. She would make certain you were taken care of and cared for, whether it was food, clothing, a place to stay, or a little money to help out. Carol was also a devout Christian. She could always be found studying her Bible and praying. She had a way that made you feel special even when you really didn’t. Carol was a legendary woman and she will be dearly missed, every day.
