On Monday October 10, 2022, Carol Farr Chandler, the loving mother of two children, passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 66.

Carol was born on November 13, 1955, in Ogden, Utah to Russell Paul Farr and Helen Horne Farr at the old St. Benedicts Hospital. She was married in 1975. During this time she had two baby boys who were 4 ½ years apart. She divorced in 1983. As a single mother, she lovingly raised her sons, finished her nursing degree, and started her nursing career. In 1988, she received her BS in Nursing from Weber State College and practiced nursing for over 30 years. She was an ER Nurse at St. Benedicts Hospital for most of her career. She had the opportunity to spend time on the cruise lines as an on-board nurse traveling around the world for several years. She also worked at Primary Children’s Hospital while living in Heber City, Utah, and then in her later years of her nursing career she was a home health hospice nurse.

She was always the most loving, caring, and wonderful mother one could have. She loved to help others and would do anything for someone in need. She had a passion for cooking and always had a home cooked meal ready for her two boys and any grandkids. She enjoyed cooking lavish meals for every holiday. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Along with wonderful meals, she loved to decorate the house, sharing warmth and festivity with her loved ones.

She enjoyed spending time with her local Sorority friends from Beta Sigma Phi – Gamma Chapter, Thursday night dinner with some of her favorite co-workers, dancing, traveling, and dining with good friends. She was a very dedicated daughter, tenderly caring for her mother. This mother/daughter relationship was very special.

Carol will always be known for her quick wit, infectious smile, and her kind compassionate spirit. We will miss her.

Carol is preceded in death by her father, Russell P. Farr, her mother, Helen H. Farr, and her brother Paul Farr. She is survived by her two children, Matthew and Jared Kay, her six granddaughters, (Cazlynn, Zoe, Mikinzie, Payton, Willow, and Stormi Kay), her one grandson (Levi Kay), and her brothers Craig, Brent, and Randall Farr.
