Carol Fowler Hoponick died on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Connecticut Hospice after a courageous eight year battle with ovarian cancer. Born May 24, 1938 in New Haven, CT, Carol was a graduate of Quinnipiac College with a degree in secretarial science. She later earned her bachelors and masters degrees in library science from Southern Connecticut State University.
Carol is survived by her husband Theodore of 53 years, as well as two sons, Jeffrey and his wife Diane of Milford and Richard and his wife Sonia of Shelton. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Theodore II, Myles, Elias, Benjamin and Caroline; her brother Ted Fowler and his wife Judith and nephews Daniel and Christopher Fowler.
