Carol E. Quade passed away peacefully on December 14, 2019. Carol was born in Waterloo, Iowa to Edwin and Edna Frueh. Carol had two sisters, Loretta Dugdale and Geraldine Ollie. Carol was a 1953 graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School.

Carol was married several times, with her first husband Edward Parle she had three children, Carol Sigwalt (deceased), Debbie Peterson, and Eddie Day. In 1994 Carol married Dean Quade, they lived in Barnum, Iowa.

Carol had many friends that held a special place in her heart, of special note were the Akins family, Sus Tordrup, as well as Jen and Ed Birkey, to name a few.

Carol enjoyed traveling, gardening, the outdoors, feeding her four-legged friends and caring for her beloved cat Queen Mary. While living in Florida Carol enjoyed baseball spring training and was an avid Cardinals fan. She spent many days in St Louis cheering on her favorite player and individual, Ozzie Smith. Many fond memories were made in those years.

Carol is survived by her daughter Debbie Peterson of Tampa, Florida, son and wife Eddie and Lynn Day of Palm Coast, Florida, grandchildren; Amy (Marcus) Morin, Michael Sigwalt, and Alex Day. Great grandchildren Gracie Morin, Axton Day, and Evelynn Day.

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Sigwalt, husband Dean Quade, and grandson Hunter Morin.

The family would like to thank Inpatient Unity Point Hospice-Cedar Rapids, for their support and comfort as well as her family at Crestview Acres for their continued love and support.
