Carol Ann Zibrun, age 64, of Geneva passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 29th 1947 in Melrose Park, Illinois a” the 4th child of Dominic and Mary (Venezia) Salerno.
Carol graduated from St. Luke Catholic Grade School in River Forest and from Trinity High School. She attended Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove and was inducted into the National Honor Society there.
She was an Affiliate with the Servant Sisters of the Holy Heart of Mary, and in 2010 was selected as a Woman of Inspiration by the Rockford Diocese. Her great joys were cooking, being with her family and serving God and the Blessed Mother Mary. She was very active at St.

She is survived by her husband Deacon Mike of 42 years, her two children Mike (Michele Wilcox) Zibrun of Sycamore, and Jenny Loyd of Genoa and three precious grandchildren, Dominic and Aiden Zibrun and Hailey Grace Loyd, her two sisters Marie (John) Zimmerman of Northlake and Jean (Frank) Villari of Oak Park, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Joseph Salerno.
