Carol Ann Morris passed away peacefully at Methodist Hospital on June 23, 2021, at the age of 76. She was the daughter of Paul and Marjorie Smith of Winterset, Iowa. Born in Sioux City, Iowa, and grew up in Winterset, Iowa. She loved her Winterset Huskies and followed them at every sport up until she passed.
After graduation from high school, she came to Des Moines, Iowa. Then later moved to Dallas, Texas, and had her only daughter Carmen. While in Texas she worked for Texas Instruments and enjoyed her season tickets loudly cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys. She later found her way back to Des Moines, Iowa, and worked for Firestone/Bridgestone for 35 years as a chemical technician.
Carol was always considered the life of the party and loved attending the numerous activities that her daughter and grandchildren participated in.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carmen Chak (Savoeun) of Pleasant Hill, IA. Grandkids, Gaige Thompson (Kayla) of Des Moines, IA, and Jade Chak of Pleasant Hill, IA. Great Grandkids, Avery Thompson and Harper Thompson.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.
