DURHAM Mrs. Carol “Ann” Jarrett Painter, 70, of 233 Sherron Road, died on Tuesday, January 13, 2015.
Ann Painter was born in Martinsville, Virginia. She retired from Sears as a Secretary. She was a member of Gorman Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Williams High School ’62 Girls Luncheon Club
She loved sewing, scrapbooking and camping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Painter and father, Bernard V. Jarrett, Sr.
She is survived by her two sons, Doug Painter (Jenny )of Stem, Kevin Painter (Chelsea) of Rougemont; two daughters, Wanda Honeycutt of Durham and Denise Sumner (John) of Youngsville; her mother, Irene Mills Jarrett of Mebane; brother, B. Vaughn Jarrett, Jr. of Mebane; two sisters, Mary J. Whitley of Burlington and Linda J. Haynes of Lewisville; nine grandchildren, Brantley Painter (Tasia), Kristen Gonzalez (Joe’l), Katie Sumner, Zachary Sumner, Diana Honeycutt, Jerry Honeycutt, Jr., Keith Painter, Eliza Painter and Alice Painter; two great-grandchildren, Julian and Giovanni Gonzalez.
