Carol Ann MacDonald Jach, 84, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022 at The Suites Parker, a skilled nursing facility where she had been a resident for the past year. Carol was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery William Jach; her parents, Stanley Holmes MacDonald Sr. and Lorraine Allen Lamb MacDonald; her brother and sister-in-law, Stanley MacDonald, Jr. and wife, Marianne; and her brother, Richard MacDonald, Jr. (Paula).
Carol was born on May 16, 1938, and was the third of three children. Carol was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduating from high school in 1956 after which she married her childhood sweetheart, William Harold Jach, son of Herbert Edward Jach and Eleanore Lillian Schroeder Jach of Brown Deer, Wisconsin.
Following her marriage to Bill, Carol’s excellent administrative skills – including her ability to take Shorthand at an impressive speed – earned her a position as the Executive Secretary to the President of F.W. Woolworth Company, which she held until 1958 when she and her husband started their family. Bill and Carol had always held strong religious beliefs and were also very dedicated to their family.
Bill and Carol lived in Milwaukee and then Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin for a time following their marriage, and subsequently lived in several states throughout their married lives, including Missouri, California, Utah and Colorado. In 1968, Bill and Carol moved their family from Wisconsin to St. Clair, Missouri, a small bedroom community outside of St. Louis, following Bill’s acceptance of a management position at Fruehauf Trailer Corporation. St. Clair is where Bill and Carol raised their family, with many memories made in their little country home. While Bill worked in St. Louis, about an hour’s commute each way, Carol worked hard to keep things organized and running smoothly at home. Carol enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother and was an excellent organizer. She kept their home running like clockwork, in spite of the challenges of raising a large family. Carol was an excellent cook and knew how to manage on a budget.
Carol also enjoyed keeping her mind active with a variety of hobbies and interests, including a nearly unsurpassed reputation as the local Scrabble champion.
While Carol could be a firm and unwavering parent when needed, she is best known for her loving, gentle touch. Carol was a devoted, loving and supportive wife and companion and will forever be Bill’s Sweetheart.
Carol never wavered as a stalwart Matriarch in her home and remained true and faithful to her beliefs throughout her life. She was a good and loyal friend to many, and in all of her relationships, she was someone who was ever willing to serve and bless the lives of all she touched. In Carol, many of her children’s friends found a kind, caring “other mother,” role model, and friend.

the number of seeds in an apple, but only God
can count the number of apples in a seed.
Carol spent her life planting seeds of kindness and charity that have borne many fruits of faith, hope, and love in the lives of others. Her innate goodness was a light in the darkness for many, and that light will live on in the lives of all she touched.
Carol is survived by her husband, William Harold Jach; her children, Pamela Watson (Dave), Jennifer Williams (Mark), Elizabeth Jean Jach, Kenneth Jach (Amelia), and Philip Jach (Kim); 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; and many cherished friends.
As family and friends, we join together in our hopes and prayers that Carol may find freedom from the pains of this earthy existence, joy in reuniting with loved ones previously lost, and that she may feel at peace as she waits to be reunited once again with those she now leaves behind. May all those who mourn the loss of this beloved wife, mother, family member or friend find peace in the gift of resurrection and immortality given to each of us by a loving Heavenly Father, and in the promise of eternal life made possible for us all through the great and marvelous atoning sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Carol, you are forever in our hearts, and will be greatly missed. May God bless and keep you until we meet again.
