Carnell was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on May 25, 1956 to the late Robert Henry and Carrie Rudine Pointer Burt. He confessed hope in Christ. He attended Austin High School. Prior to becoming disabled he was employed as a concrete finisher.
Mr. Burt was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert and Carrie Rudine Burt; nieces, Shontisha Burt and Makyla Burt.
He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Dion Lampkin and Tremayne Walker both of Decatur; siblings: James (Martha) Turnbore of Teaneck, NY, Marshall Pointer of Augusta, GA, Lorenzo Burt and Althea Burt both of Decatur; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two aunts, Susie Perkins and Mary Lee Burt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
