Carmen Tulloch, August 21, 1934 – October 4, 2018.

Mrs. Tulloch died Thursday, October 4, 2018, at her home.

Mrs. Tulloch was born August 21, 1934, in Shidler, Oklahoma, the daughter of C. E. and Edna (Mullennax) Crozier. She grew up in Beaumont and was a 1952 graduate ofSouth Park High School. She attended Southwestern University in Georgetown on a full music scholarship for violin. She was a member the Phi Mu Sorority. She also played with the Faculty Quartet and the Southwestern Symphony.

 She married Robert Euclid Tulloch III in 1954 in Austin. They moved to Olympia, Washington when Mr. Tulloch was drafted into the U. S. Army. They made their home in Belton in 1957.  She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in music from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor.  In 1961 she began her career in teaching strings for theTemple School District, where she remained for more than 20 years as a much loved teacher. She also enjoyed playing in the Temple City Orchestra and in the production of Handel’s Messiah in Temple and Killeen.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Belton since 1957, where she served on many committees and served as an elder. Mrs. Tulloch had the gift of hospitality, always cooking for the sick, the grieving and for fellowship luncheons at her church, as well as baking bread for communion.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002.

Survivors include one son Robert C. Tulloch of Belton, daughter and son-in-law, Paula and John McLeod.  Five grandchildren Adam Wade McLeod and wife Amy, Leah McLeod Henry and husband Chris, Drue Elizabeth McLeod, Haley Cathryn Tulloch and Jake Robert Tulloch; two great grandchildren William Lee Henry and Vivian Cathryn Henry; and speaking for the family during her service, her nephew, Mark Groveunder.

“Mimi” was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend.  She was a doting grandmother to her five grandchildren.Her generosity of spirit made the world a better place for the past eighty four years, and her selflessness has had a wide reaching impact on so many.  The way she cared about and served those around her reflected her love of Christ, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
