Carmen (Bencomo) Skaff was born in El Paso, Texas in 1931, one of eleven children born to Ignacio and Carmen Bencomo of Chihuahua, Mexico. When Carmen was very young, the family moved to Fresno, California, where she attended Memorial high school and then on to St. Mary’s college to earn her degree as a registered nurse. She met and married Lawrence Skaff in San Francisco in June of 1953. Larry and Carmen raised 6 children in Redwood City, Sunnyvale, and San Marino California before retiring to Visalia in 1987 where she lived until the Lord called her home on December 19, 2020. She was preceded in Death by her husband Larry (2009). She is survived by her children Teresa, Nicholas (Charlotte), Michael (Judy), Rick (Julie), Danny (Michelle), and Kathleen Hedman (Martin), and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered by all who entered her home for her warm nature, outstanding cooking (Mexican food) and her delicious banana bread. Noone ever left her home hungry, and all left with a smile on their face!
