Carmen “Mark” Barresi, age 67 of Pontoon Beach, IL, passed away on December 30, 2020, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL. Mark was born on February 25, 1952.
He enjoyed watching movies of any genre and especially enjoyed watching his favorite sport teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. One of his many hobbies was collecting sports memorabilia, collecting coins, and attending car shows. He will be remembered as being very organized. One of Mark’s favorite past times, outside of playing with his grandchildren, was spending time at Carlyle Lake playing on his jet ski. Rarely did he and his family miss going to the lake on the 4th of July to enjoy watching the fireworks while being on the lake. Mark was extremely proud of his father who was a World War II veteran and was on the Beach of Normandy. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Dorothy Barresi, nee Gryson.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Cheryl Barresi, nee Agnew; two children, Lance Barresi and Abbie (Michael) Kramer; three step-children, Derek (Sara) Young, Michael (Tracy) Young, and Tiffanie (Jesse) Pingel; and six grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
