Carmen Joseph DiGirolomo (1932-2019) passed away at the age of 86.Carmen was born and raised in Mahanoy City by the late Antonio DiGirolomo and Rose (nee Ricci).He is survived by his wife Connie {nee Ruggeri) of 62 years. Daughters Michele (James) Clark, Annette Rosetti and son Anthony (Eva) DiGirolomo, brother Louis (Helen) DiGirolomo. Grandchildren Ashley, Danielle, Carlo and the late Amanda as well as 2 granddogs. He served on the USS Yorktown in the U.S. Navy before working for United Airlines for 37 years. Carmen enjoyed collecting model Antique cars, reading the newspaper, painting, doing crossword puzzles and feeding stray cats in the neighborhood. He was an active father,grandfather and enjoyed going to school plays, Grandparents day and family celebrations. After his granddaughter Amanda passed in 2015. Carmen attended several family celebrations that brought joy and comfort to many.Carmen suffered from Dementia later in life and was cared for by his loving wife Connie. We are comforted by the thought that Amanda and Pop-Pop are once again reunited and watching over us. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
