Carmen HeathAge 56 of Chesaning passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017.A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at New Wine Full Gospel Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19 from 1:00 to 8:00pm also at New Wine Full Gospel Church.Carmen was born on July 7, 1960 to Patricio and Concepcion (Escamilla) Rodriguez in Saginaw. She graduated from Durand High School and earned her Associate’s Degree from Baker College in 2000. Carmen worked as a Laboratory Technician at Hurley Hospital.During her life, Carmen was a very creative person. She enjoyed writing, drawing, and poetry. She also enjoyed playing drums at New Wine Full Gospel Church where she was also a member. She also had a heart for helping people – she volunteered with Relay for Life, and she enjoyed bowling for the Big Brother Big Sister Association. She loved being with her family and friends.Carmen is survived by her sons, Matthew and Michael Heath; her grandson, Damon Schaefer; her mother, Concepcion Rodriguez; her brothers, Joe (Vicky) Rodriguez, Leon (Virginia) Rodriguez, Carlos Rodriguez, Rojelio Rodriguez, and Daniel (Jackie) Rodriguez; her sisters, Diana Rodriguez, and Ofelia Wilson; her lifelong friend and father of children, Doug Heath; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.She is predeceased by her father, Patricio M. Rodriguez.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
