Carmen Elizabeth Hutchins was called to her heavenly home on September 27, 2022 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Lakeland. She was the wife of William Thurston Hutchins. They shared 64 years of marriage together.
Born in South Paris, Maine, she was the daughter of Merton Aaron and Edith Rines Corbett. She was graduated from Gorham State Teachers College in 1955, and taught second grade for 3 years in Brunswick, Maine prior to her marriage.
Carmen is survived by her husband, daughter Julie (Dan) Green, son Barry (Rose) Hutchins, grandchildren; Matt (Kelly) Green, Joel (Terri) Green, Tim (Alison) Green, Jenna (Zach) Berkey, John (Hannah) Hutchins, Catherine (Josh) Stephens, and Paul (Laura) Hutchins , and also by 18 great-grandchildren, soon to be 19, God willing. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Clara Hutchins, and by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Miriam Corbett, and by many others in her husband’s family.
