Carmen B. Dickenson, 89, died peacefully at home on February 11, 2011 surrounded by family, her caregivers and Hospice support.
She is survived by her 3 children, son David B. Dickenson, his wife Kathy and their 3 children Blaine, John David & Daniel, daughter Nancy Ann Dickenson-Hazard, her husband John, and their 2 children John Blaine & Anne, and son Paul Foster Dickenson, his wife Debra, and their 2 children Christine & Matthew, her brother William David Bleser of Coral Gables, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dickenson attended Gesu High School in Miami and graduated first in her class at Northwestern University College of Dentistry and Dental Hygiene in Chicago in 1941, where she met her husband James Blaine Dickenson, Jr, DDS, who pre-deceased her in 1994. After living and raising their family in Ashland, KY the couple returned to Florida and retired in Boca Raton, FL in 1979. Mrs. Dickenson was devoted to her family and was a devout Catholic.
