Riccio; Carmela Esposito Riccio age 83, died July 19, 2005, in Bridgeport Health Care Center. Mrs. Riccio was born in Caserta, Ercole, Italy and was a Bridgeport resident for fifty-nine years. She was a housekeeper for over thirty years at St. Charles rectory, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis. Second in addition to her children and grandchildren, her proudest moment was becoming a U.S. citizen, in 1951, with her best friend, Connie Cosco. Survivors include her son Rocco and his wife Patricia Riccio, of New Britain, brothers, Victorio and Sylvio, sisters, Rose and Anita, all of Italy, brother-in-law, Leonard Riccio, sister-in-law, Anna Riccio, both of Bridgeport, son-in-law, Gerard O’Leary, of Stratford, grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jessica O’Leary, of Stratford, Paul, Matthew and Marc Riccio, of New Britain, several nieces and nephews, including Dawn Marie and Darlene and several grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul Riccio, daughter Josephine O’Leary, brother, Genarro, and sister, Marta.
