Carmel Palmieri DeMartino, 98, of North Haven passed away Feb. 6, 2014 in The Regency House, Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred P. DeMartino.
Born in New Haven on March 9, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Giannelli Palmieri. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Scoopo and Joan (Kenneth) Pia, both of North Haven; a sister, Mary DeVito of Orange; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Ralph Palmieri; and three sisters, Julia Ranney, Gloria Manocchio and Madeline Palmieri., 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Wednesday morning at 10:15.
