Carma (Dillion) Uphold, 70, of Kingwood, WV, died on Friday, December 30, 2016, in her sleep.

Carma was born March 25, 1946, in Terra Alta, a daughter of George and Effie (Wicklin) Dillion.

She was a 1964 graduate of Kingwood High School. Carma attended the Albright Baptist Church. Carma was an Avon lady for 50 years; she worked as a waitress for Mary’s Restaurant for 20 years, for Marrara’s Restaurant and as a custodian for the Preston County Courthouse for many years. She belonged to Mary’s Coffee Club and she never met a stranger. Carma loved her Avon, yard sales, and time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

She is survived by one son, Mark and Dorothea Uphold of Morgantown; one daughter, Michelle and Brian Edman of Columbus, OH; one brother, Richard “Dick” Hunter of Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Georgia Lee Williams of St. Anderson, IN; seven grandchildren, Shannon Uphold, Spencer Dumire, Brianna Lisman, Chelsye Uphold, Adrianne Uphold, Bryce Uphold, Eric Edman; one great-grandchild, Elaina Lisman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Rodney Allen Uphold; one brother-in-law, William Robert Williams; two sisters, Katherine Wyatt, Virginia Louise Dillion.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, on Monday, January 2, 2017, from 4-8pm; on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, from 10:00 a.m.
