Carlos Silva, November 11, 1973 – December 9, 2015.
Carlos Alberto Silva “Tio Slim”passed away at the age of 42 at his home in Temple, Texas after a brave battle with cancer.
Carlos was born on November 11, 1973 in Torrance, California to Jose De Jesus Silva and Martha Silva Ramos.
Carlos attended Narbonne High School and during his high school years he enjoyed music and working on cars with his friends. In 1990, he met Sandra Alvarado who later became his wife. The two had a son, Christian Daniel Silva now 19 years old. Carlos separated from Sandra and kept custody of his son Christian while working as a manager for Continental Batteries. Carlos was a family man with a deep love for his son, nieces, and nephews, and his dog Sam. Carlos, Chris, and Sam would spend endless hours listening to music and watching videos during his free time. Carlos was known for his love for music, but also for his great sense of humor. He was a jokester and enjoyed dinners with his immediate family.
Carlos is survived by his only son Christian Silva, parents Martha Silva Ramos and stepfather Federico Ramos, maternal grandmother Belia Lechuga “Mama Belia”, stepgrandfather Roberto Lechuga “Papa Beto”, grandfather Carlos Esquivel “Papa Carlos”, and paternal grandmother Rufina Silva. He is also survived by sisters Jessica Galarza and husband Daniel, Gabriela Eufracio and husband Jr. Eufracio, and Erika Silva, brothers Alexis Ramos, and Edgar,Alberto, and Ernesto Silva, nephews Sebastian Galarza and Izaiah Rodriguez, niece Gianni Eufracio, and dogs Sam and Chuy Silva.
Carlos was preceded in death father Jose De Jesus Silva, grandfather Ignacio Silva, great grandmother Mama Mary, and uncles Adolfo Servin and Hector Iribe.
