Carlos Gilbert Baca ~ 88, of Denver, Colorado passed away on May 8, 2017. He is survived by his children, David Leroy Baca, Dianne Montoya & Carlos D. Baca; siblings, Pete Baca, Stella Valdez, Ernest Baca, Bill “DD” Baca, Esther Robledo & Ruby Vigil; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M. Baca; and son, Steve P. Baca. Carlos was born February 12, 1929, in Walsenberg, Colorado. At a young age, he moved to Wyoming to work as a sheep herder and used his earnings to help support his family. In 1940, the whole family moved to Denver, CO, where Carlos attended West High School.
