Carlos E. “Bud” Gross, age 80, formerly of Rensselaer, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 at his son’s home in Grand Junction, MI. Carlos was born in Jacksboro, TN on September 13, 1928, the son of the late Alemeda (Williams) and Andrew Gross. Carlos attended the Jacksboro, TN public schools. He was a retired railroad foreman, having worked for the Monon Railroad, and CSX Transportation or the former Louisville & Nashville Railroad for over 35 years. On April 6, 1946 in Lafayette, Indiana, Carlos married Lorene Ruth Akers who passed away April 7, 2002. Carlos was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Wheatfield. Carlos is survived by three children: Bonnie (Ron) Moolenaar of Rensselaer, Indiana; Connie (Curt Woolbrandt – fiancé) Williams, Fort Myers, FL; John (Charlotte Cooper, fiancé) Gross, Grand Junction, MI 22 – Grandchildren 32 – Great-Grandchildren Carlos was preceded in death by: His wife, Lorene Gross 3-Sons & 1-Daughter 4-Grandchildren 5-Brothers & 6-Sisters.
