Petty Officer Carlos Alberto Rodriguez, Jr., 22, of Groton, Connecticut passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013, from complications of a pedestrian accident.
Carlos was born May 4, 1991, to Marina Garcia and Carlos Rodriguez, Sr. He graduated from George Jenkins High School in 2010, where he played football and was in the ROTC and was also a member of HOSA. Carlos joined the US Navy in 2011 and was stationed in Groton, Connecticut aboard the USS New Hampshire submarine.
He is survived by his mother, Marina Garcia; father, Carlos Rodriguez, Sr.; step-father, Richard Farah; brothers, Stephen Damon, Carlos Rafael Rodriguez and Edwin Rodriguez; sister, Zeidi Rodriguez; uncles, Edward Garcia and Simon Salas.
