Carlos Joaquin Ramirez “Booboo” CYCLONE, a rap artist, loving father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson and friend and life-long resident of Oxnard, CA, died unexpectedly on January 26, 2021 at the age of 44.

Carlos was born in Ventura on September 11, 1976.

It was no secret how much Booboo loved his mom, dad, brothers, sisters, and children. He was very proud to be a momma’s boy. They had a bond that was inseparable. When momma was in the nursing home, he would spend the night with her a lot, even if it meant to sleep on a chair or floor. He always surprised momma with little candies at night, prayed with her and gave her an abundance of ongoing hugs and kisses. He would tell momma, “where I go, you go with me”, so there they would go together, even if it was for a ride to the beach or to grab something to eat, momma loved her time with her baby boy. Booboo loved his pops and took the music passion they loved so much. When he was 3 years old, pops used to play his guitar and sing in the garage. Booboo would make the beats with his hands and whatever was in front of him while pops sang. As he got older, he would help pops as he worked doing auto body and sand cars to make extra money. He was the fastest worker, got his cash and went to school happy. Pops would take him to events where he was going to sing, and Booboo would go with him and be there standing tall making pops proud.

Carlos loved his children so much! He would try to overcome all obstacles to see them. He went through a really bad depression when he was separated from his children, but he never stopped trying to be part of his children’s lives. As the days and years passed, he finally was able to see his boys and the bond was beginning to grow. He would brag about the time he spent with them, the talks over the phone and the text messages that went back and forth. He bragged about his son Carlos who also has a passion for rap music and making his own music. He was looking forward to making songs with him and teaching him how to produce his own beats. He also bragged about how his son Roman was a lady’s man and reminded him of himself so much. He said Roman walked and stood just like him which made him proud. Booboo adored and loved is daughter Alexis so much. She was daddy’s little girl.

Booboo was a lovable brother to his sisters and brothers. When sister and brother stand shoulder to shoulder, who stands a chance against us? He always gave love, made us laugh and it was never a dull moment with him by your side. He would give you the shirt off his back and his last bite. He was never ashamed to be our baby brother. He would go out of his way to reach out to each of us and always showed his love. He was very appreciative for all we did for him. We may not have it together, but together we have it all! We were meant to be joined by blood, but we chose to be joined by LOVE!

Booboo loved all of his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. He shared many great memories with them all. He was always proud of each of you and proud to be your family. Family… where life begins and love never ends!

Carlos “Booboo” CYCLONE loved all his friends, and friends he called family. He had many strong friendships. He seen no color lines and he didn’t care if you were from a different hood, he knew you had his back and he had yours.

Carlos “Booboo” CYCLONE had a great passion for music. He started making music as a teenager and would record his voice through a boombox and a cassette player. He went by the name CYCLONE. He continued to make songs and had the opportunity to meet, hang out and/or open up with a performance for Easy E, DJ Quick, Sugar Free, Tha Dogg Pound, Baby Bash, Mc Blvd and Warren G. He loved all genres of music. When he heard his songs on the radio or cars passing by bumping his jams, it made him so happy. He stayed up writing music, expressing his life, love and passion! At one time, he felt the passion to rap for Jesus. He met Robert “MC Blvd” and they made a few songs together and gained a brotherly relationship. He loved his brothers in Christ and enjoyed sharing his passion with them all.

Carlos was a man who loved the Lord. He was not ashamed to tell you about God and share the word with you. He loved the Lord with all of his heart, with all of his soul, with all of his mind and with all of his strength. He always took the time to pray to give thanks and pray in times of need. He prayed for his kids, family and friends. Ecclesiastes 3, To Everything There Is A Season. A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, An a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh.
