Carla A. McConnell, age 65, of Plano, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, with her loving family by her side.
She was born July 26, 1956 in Geneva, Illinois, the daughter of Howard “Jim” and Anne (Axelson) McConnell.
Carla lived a life full of love, wisdom, and generosity for her family and friends. She had a forty year career at AT&T, just retiring this year. She had many passions, from horseback riding and showing in her youth, to in adulthood traveling, collecting art, caring for birds, raising lizards, owning fast cars, and finally wholeheartedly engaging in agility training and competitions with friends and her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her sister Jen McConnell Stites of Chicago; companion William “Bill” Sprinkle of Plano; Bill’s daughters Lindsey and Dana; her nephews Keenan and Lowell; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Christine.
