Carl Thalman, 90 of Centralia, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center.

He was born December 19, 1926 in Patoka, son of Ben Thalman and Minnie (Mason) Thalman. He married Jacqueline “Jackie” (Adams) Thalman on December 20, 1947 and she preceded him in death on February 23, 2010.

Carl is survived by a son, Kenny Thalman and wife Judy of Centralia; two daughters: Carolyn Miller and husband Calvin of Boise, Idaho and Lori Parker and husband Erik of Albers; four grandchildren: Jeff Davis of Chokoloskee Island, Florida, Nicole Kirby and husband Bill of Centralia, Jason Thalman and wife Sonia of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Amanda Webb and husband Matt of Mountain Home, Idaho; seven great-grandchildren: Zachary Brenton Moore, Taylor “Cole” Moore, Sophia Thalman, Addison Thalman, Caroline Sue Anne Schultz, Emily Katharine Schultz, and Gunner Jameson Webb; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, great-grandson: William Calvin Schultz, and two sisters: Eleanor Jones and Pauline Rodenberg.

Carl served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia. He and Jackie owned and operated Ross Flower Shop from 1950 – 1991. He enjoyed fishing, camping and woodworking. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.
