Carl Taylor Jr. went home to be with his beloved Savior, Jesus Christ on July 23, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born on July 29, 1940 to Carl Taylor Sr. and Mabel Taylor (Kingham) in Indianapolis, IN.

Carl spent most of his life growing up in Gosport, IN.  He was a very hard worker all his life, often working several jobs to support his family. After a year at Allison, he began working at Indianapolis Power & Light Co (AES) starting as a laborer, lineman, cable splicer and then management, retiring after 41 years in 2001. Carl was also involved with the IBEW union. He had a tree trimming business on the side for many years with his wife Anne and son Carl helping him.  After retirement, he and Anne enjoyed 15 years wintering in Florida. Carl enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and won many trophies with his archery skills. He also coached his sons in baseball for many years including becoming president of the Greenwood Little League. Carl was a member of Suburban Baptist Church, Indianapolis since 2005.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Anne, his children (and spouses)  Angie (Tiffany), Carl III, Tish (Rob), Robbie (Matt), Greg (Brandi) and first wife Sue Calvert, along with siblings Frank (Dianna), Jack (Rose), Shirley (Owen) and sisters-in-law Darlene and Carmen, and brothers-in-law Barney and Mike, and also 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by half-brother George Sherry and half-sister Mary Butterworth.
