Carl Schreiner, 81 of Brighton, CO died at home, July 24, 2012. Carl is survived by his wife Lois Schreiner of Brighton, CO, Brother Dave Schreiner, of Brighton and sister Elizabeth Hamm, of Dacono and beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Carl was born in Longmont, CO September, 20, 1930 to Jacob Schreiner and Christina Ross. Carl was 1 of 10 children–Louise (Del) Langley, Molly (Mickey) Price, Marie (Frenchie) Gordon, Katheren (Ginger) Marx, Elizabeth (Pat) Hamm, Peter, Jacob Jr, John and David.

Carl served in the Korean War from 1951-53 in the 1st Calvary Army as an artillery man. He loved to hunt, fish and team rope. He was a horseman and loved raising and working with horses on his property. He also raised Charolais and Angus cattle.

Carl was a member of the Iron Workers Local 24, and made many lifetime friends during his career, Lifetime member of the VFW Post 2601 in Longmont, member of American Legion Post 1985 and a Lifetime member of Northglenn Elks Lodge 2438. He was an honorary member of Chapter 434 Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Carl loved children and was a great teacher to all of his nieces, nephews, and friends’ children. He always welcomed them to his home to play, to learn, to feel like they were part of his family.
