Carl Samuel Olinger, 81, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family due to cancer. Carl was born December 16, 1932, in Lakeland to Samuel and Fannie Olinger. He was a lifelong resident and retired from CSX Railroad and was a Veteran serving as a cook in the Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jane Olinger; daughter, Debbie Leitner; brothers, Dale & Earl Olinger and sister, Wanda Green and her husband, Henry.
He is survived by his daughter, Janice Trimble and her husband Charles; sons, Eddie Olinger and Allan Olinger; brother, Ray Olinger and wife, Donna; sister, Patricia Giles-Lobinsky and husband, Jim and a Dear Friend Nell Herring; grandchildren, Kristy Tidey and husband, Marc, Brandy Alderman and husband, Jimmy, Nina Olinger and Carl Allan Olinger; great grandchildren, Elizabeth & Emily Tidey and Avery & Aubri Alderman and sisters-in-law, Mildred & Bertha Olinger.
